Canada’s bestseller Marissa Stapley’s book chosen for American Red Cross book club

Toronto author Marissa Stapley’s book “Lucky” was selected for the American Red Cross’ new book club Read Well, Live Well, an adaptation of the American Red Cross “Make Red Hot Hot” campaign.

“Lucky,” was published by Random House Canada in April 2018. In July 2018, author Marissa Stapley’s Amazon book, “Lucky,” became one of Canada’s bestsellers; it is the first Canadian title to be selected by any of the UK’s Orange prize or Sunday Times Bestsellers Lists.

The book was a New York Times (USA) bestseller. It has also been a No. 1 bestseller in Ireland and was a No. 4 bestseller in Japan and Canada. “Lucky” was chosen for the American Red Cross’ new book club Read Well, Live Well, an adaptation of the American Red Cross “Make Red Hot Hot” campaign.

Michael Simmons, public affairs officer with the Canadian Red Cross said “As an agency, we believe that the more time individuals have to read, the more likely they are to be more physically active, invest in their community and take charge of their well-being.”
